Depicted in the center of the image is the „perfect being“ Magyü Sangchog Tartug, a wrathful personal tutelary deity (yidam) and the principal deity of the mother tantras of the Bön. He is depicted with a dark blue body and two wings. Magyü Sangchog Tartug has seven heads of different colors and in his sixteen hands he holds a skullcap cup alternately filled with blood and with a heart. Magyü Sangchog Tartug is depicted in unification with his female partner, the red-colored Kyema Marmo (kye ma dmar mo [ཀྱེ་མ་དམར་མོ་]). The couple is accompanied by a retinue of gods and demons. Magyü is considered to be one of the most important tutelary deities of the Bön.
