Razieh Taasob is a PhD candidate in Numismatics. She received her B.A. (2003) and M.A. (2007) in Archaeology from Islamic Azad University, Tehran, Iran. Her M.A. dissertation is titled "Studying the Iconography of Early Kushan and Great Kushan." She participated in numerous field excavations around Iran. She has worked at the Iranian Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization at the Silk Roads Studying Center (2006-2010). She was given the task of carrying out a research project for a preliminary dossier of the world heritage of the Silk Roads. Her current research is mainly based on cultural and political interconnections and interactions of the Kushans within the other Indo-Iranian borderlands as reflected in coinage. Comparative perspectives of multiple cultural experiences of coins are a major part of her studies.
